Interested in starting or re-activating a Student Organization?
Please follow these steps.
1) Plan a meeting with Kristi Hunter, Director of Student Activities & Orientation. This meeting needs to be initiated and attended by a student.
Please be prepared to discuss and review the following:
· Who would participate in organization?
· How Greensboro College would benefit from this organization
· Who could serve as an advisor? Must be a Greensboro College staff or Faculty member
· An idea for a constitution (samples available)
· Accreditation requirements
2) Prepare a constitution statement (samples available from Kristi)
3) Meet with Kristi to review constitution
4) Meet with Student Government Association to complete the process
a. Student Government Association will ask questions about the purpose of the organization and either approve, deny, or approve with revisions.
5) After the organization is approved by the Student Government Association, the organization is on probation for one semester to show that they have active members and can function as an active organization on campus.
6) After they have gained accreditation during their probation period, they will be eligible to go through the budget allocation process to be awarded funding.
