Student Activities
Students play a strong role in organizing, leading and creating clubs, organizations and honoraries on our campus. Activities outside of the classroom offer opportunities to pursue special or new interests; to gain personal, social and leadership skills that will be valuable throughout life; and to meet others with interests similar to yours.
The overall goal of the Office of Student Activities is to create ways for students to enhance their educational experience outside of the classroom through connections with other students and the Greensboro College community.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple. We serve as the gateway to campus involvement. The Office of Student Activities is responsible for the coordination of all student organizations, including facilitation of co-curricular programs, student programming & events, organizational funding, management of the student center locations, a major resource for events such as MLK, Jr. Observance, Black History Month, Women’s History Month, Homecoming, and other special events, plus facilitation of leadership and training development. It is our hope and belief that Student Activities will assist in growth of student groups and individuals to their fullest potential. In a broader sense, we are responsible for providing programs and services that promote educational, recreational, social, and personal growth. Individual student development is a major focus of the office. By having students actively participate in all aspects of campus life, they will become better citizens and future community leaders.
