Residence Life: Auxiliary Services

Mail Boxes
All residential students receive a mail box on campus. Your mail box assignment and your college address will be given to you during check-in. Mailboxes are located on the ground floor of the Campbell Center. Residents will retain the same mailbox each year they live on campus.

Telephone and Long Distance
The college provides local phone service. All rooms on campus have an assigned telephone number. You may dial other rooms and offices on campus by dialing the last four digits of the campus number or the three digit campus extension for administrative offices. For example, if your telephone # is (336) 230-7123, your campus extension is 7123. The telephone system does not have voice mail so it is recommended that students bring their own answering machines. For long distance service it is recommended that students bring either a cell phone or calling card to use in the residence halls. The college does not have a long distance provider for the halls. Residents must also provide their own telephone.

Cable Television
The College provides the basic cable television package for all residence hall rooms though residents must bring their own television set and cables.

Computing Services
Each residence hall room has two Ethernet ports. Internet access is granted free of charge to residential students. Every residence hall is also set up for wireless capabilities. Dial-up modems are not permitted nor are they necessary on campus. Residents must provide their own computers and cables or wireless card for internet access.
