Informational Interviews
An information interview is a meeting that you schedule with a person who works for a company or in a field that interests you. The purpose of such a meeting is to allow you to gather information for further exploration of that particular company or career field. Read more about it here.
Internships
Internships help students define interests, sharpen skills, evaluate plans for employment or graduate studies and connect with people who may provide leads for full-time employment. Frequently, internships pave the way for full-time jobs after graduation. Learn more about our program.
Career Counseling and Assessment
At Greensboro College, Career Services is not just about formatting resumes and preparing for job interviews. Come visit us to talk about “big picture” issues and start the process of discovering your greater purpose. Together, we can explore such questions as:
- What is my life purpose and vision? How do they relate to what I’m doing in college?
- What are my strengths and skills? What do I enjoy doing? How do I make these things known to others and how can I connect them to my greater purpose?
- How can I create a sense of balance in my life? What is really important to me?

Resume and Job Search Assistance
We offer professional job search consultation. We are delighted to assist you with creation and editing of effective resumes, cover letters, and other marketing materials. We can provide suggestions for expanding your job search strategies and effectively using your network. In addition, we offer mock interviews upon request.
Students and alumni are encouraged to register on our system to gain direct access to local, regional, and national listings of jobs and internships and to upload a copy of your resume.
