Library Instruction
Greensboro College librarians offer library instruction sessions to individual classes throughout the academic year. Library instruction sessions are geared toward teaching students the skills needed to do excellent research. Course instructors who are interested in signing up for a session should read through the following guidelines and complete the form below.
• Prior to the instruction session, the librarian and course instructor can collaborate on specific objectives.
• Instruction sessions should be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
• Sessions should be tied to a specific research assignment for the course.
• Please submit a copy of the research assignment to the librarian at least one week before the session.
• Consider the timing of the session. In order to have the best impact, students should already know their research
• topics and be actively involved in doing research. If a session is scheduled too early in the semester, the
• attention level usually drops significantly.
