How does Honors College fit in your life? If your SAT score was 1150 or higher and your high school grade point average was 3.5 or higher, it would be an honor to have you join us. And we want you... so much, in fact that our Honors Students receive significant scholarship awards in four major categories of merit-based scholarships: Presidential, Honors, Trustee, and Dean.
Presidential
This merit-based scholarship is Greensboro College’s most prestigious award. This four-year scholarship covers tuition and fees. Students must maintain a 3.2 cumulative grade point average to retain the scholarship, and must live on campus. Prospective, traditional students with a combined SAT score of 1250 (ACT score of 28) or above, and a high school grade point average of 3.75 or better are considered for this scholarship. The top candidates will be invited to interview with the President of the College.
- Honors
This merit-based scholarship is awarded through the admission process to prospective, traditional students based on an evaluation of academic performance, school and community involvement, strength of school and curriculum, and personal attributes. The amount of the scholarship varies in amount but cannot exceed $15,000. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years provided the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. - Trustees
